Nighttime Kennel Position

The Wind River Bear Institute located 12 miles South of Missoula near Florence, MT
on a beautiful
ranch setting at the foot of the Bitterroot Mountains.
We are looking for a
dedicated individual or couple to be the Nighttime Kennel Caretaker for our team of specialized Karelian Bear Dogs.
Housing and utilities are provided on-site in the form of a small
one-bedroom house trailer. Paid Utilities include Internet, laundry, air conditioning, heat, bathroom, water, electricity, television.
Duties include caring for the dogs, putting the dogs to bed from 8:00-10:00 p.m., addressing any problems the dogs may have during the night, and getting them up no later
than 7:00 a.m. and into their yards for the following day.
Additional responsibilities include general ranch chores, lawn care, occasional feeding of dogs, cleaning yards, general office tasks, errands, yard maintenance and repair, occasional care of ranch horses, vetting of dogs, grooming of dogs, exercising of dogs, along with various other duties that may arise. Interested candidates should be physically able to lift up to 30lbs. and be comfortable with moving dogs that may pull on leash.
